Workshop: We are not numbers (vi är inte siffror)

In this workshop, participants will explore the lives, interests, relationships, and dreams of people who lost their lives as a result of oppression and violence.

Through photographs and personal stories, participants will get to know the individuals behind the statistics and reflect on the futures they never had the chance to experience.

Using creative writing, participants will be invited to imagine how these individuals’ lives might have continued if they had been given the opportunity to live. Their writing may take the form of short stories, letters, diary entries, or other creative expressions.

With participants’ consent, the texts created during the workshops will be collected in a digital book, bringing together their reflections and imagined futures. The book will be shared with participants and made available to the public.

No previous writing experience is required. The workshop offers a space for creativity, reflection, and meaningful dialogue.
