On behalf of Iranska Föreningen mot avrättningar, we have submitted a formal letter to Amnesty International Sweden, raising serious concerns about a recent conference held in Munich by Munich Cirkel, a human rights organisation. At this event, an invited speaker called for public execution by hanging, while the audience responded with applause and silence from organizers.
Outside the event, groups were chanting:
“Death to the three traitors: Mullahs, Leftists, and Mujahedin.”
This rhetoric is not just disturbing—it is dangerous. It normalizes the death penalty, promotes political hate speech, and attempts to revive the same brutality we’ve fought to overcome.
We believe this moment reflects something deeper: the manipulation of personal suffering to justify violence—and the silence or complicity of prominent figures makes it worse.
Together with organizations like the International Committee Against Executions (ICAE), we reaffirm our clear position:
No to the death penalty—under any regime, for any reason.
Justice is not revenge.
The future of Iran must be built without public executions, hate, or state-like violence.
We call on all democratic and opposition forces to take a principled stand against all forms of execution rhetoric—no matter who promotes it.
